stman’s creThe U.S. Poed, with a few little changes, is the Weatherby Vanguard Weatherguard rifle in a nutshell: “Neither rain nor snow, nor sleet nor dark of night shall stay this rifle from the swift completion of my appointed rounds.” As the name implies, the Weatherguard is fully guarded against weather – so you can take it into the nastiest environments without a single worry about how this rifle will perform. The Monte Carlo stock is made of ultra-tough Griptonite and all metalwork has maximum protection with a great-looking Cerakote finish.

When paired with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition, all Weatherby Vanguard rifles are guaranteed to fire a 3-shot group of.99″ or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA). Year after year, the Griptonite stock delivers long-lasting performance while remaining lightweight. It incorporates the renowned Weatherby raised comb Monte Carlo design with contemporary synthetic materials. A palm swell on the right side helps with control and shooter comfort, and special pistol and forend inlays offer a strong, non-slip grip. Every Vanguard rifle has a low density recoil pad that is custom-fitted. The felt recoil is greatly reduced by this technologically advanced substance. To increase shooter accuracy, every trigger is hand-honed, factory-tuned, and examined for a clean, crisp break. The trigger housing can be fully adjusted down to 2.5 lbs and is made of a lightweight alloy.
