Vihtavuori N565 Smokeless Gun Powder

The Vihtavuori R&D team produced a powder that was precisely suited. Vihtavuori is happy to present the newest edition to the N500 series of High Energy powders, the N565, which was made possible by customer feedback and demands. The N565 was developed especially for the.338 Lapua Magnum with 250 grain bullets and was intended to bridge the gap between Vihtavuori’s N560 and N570 high energy rifle powders. This powder has a carefully controlled burn rate and is incredibly temperature stable, providing consistent results in a variety of settings. To guarantee a cleaner barrel when shooting, Vihtavuori additionally added a decoppering chemical and enhanced hygroscopic stability. Additionally, N565 is REACH compliant and free of phthalates and DNT.

In terms of size, the N565 grains and the N560 powder are identical. Like all Vihtavuori powders, it guarantees good loadability and homogeneity and flows easily through powder measures. The powder burns at a rate that is somewhat closer to N570, which nearly splits the two. With an energy content of 4000 J/g and a bulk density of 960 g/l, Vihtavuori N565 is a single perforated extruded powder.
