The Very Low Drag (VLD) bullets in the Berger Hunting bullet range are made for distances of 300 yards or more and have the highest ballistic coefficient available. The bullet may pass through 2″ to 3″ before beginning to expand thanks to the VLD design’s pointed snout. Between 40% and 85% of the bullet’s weight will be shed as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue (internal organs) following the initial expansion.
