Browning X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR Carbon Fiber Bolt Action Rifle

At the top of the X-Bolt 2 lineup is the Browning X-Bolt 2 McMillan SPR Rifle variant. In addition to being well-equipped for hunting large animals, this rifle may also provide excellent results in a long-range precision shooting event.

The McMillan Game Warden 2.0 stock, which is often saved for bespoke rifles, is composed of lightweight carbon fiber providing an extremely durable and weatherproof base. The action fits precisely thanks to metal pillars that are machined in. For reliable accuracy, the barrel is free-floated by bedding at the action screws and recoil lug. With its elevated comb for proper eye alignment with big diameter optics, broader fore-end, and vertical grip with top thumb rest, the Game Scout design bridges the gap between a hunting and a target stock Graphics are added to break up the outline and help hide you from your quarry. A premium Pachmayr Decelerator pad soaks up felt recoil.

The stock is not the only application for carbon fiber. Preferred Barrels’ wrapped carbon fiber barrel is featured on this gun. Preferred Barrels products have undergone extensive testing and research to guarantee their accuracy and quality levels. Before being stress relieved, each barrel is first a blank that has been button rifled and precisely bored. Instead of using simple carbon fiber sleeve or tube construction, which are less expensive designs that give the appearance of carbon fiber without the practical advantages of the wrapping process, the barrels use a stronger, stiffer carbon fiber wrapping technology. The normal lengths of barrels vary depending on the caliber. The muzzle is prepared for use with an optional suppressor and has a 5/8″-24 thread. Included are a thread protector cover and a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

The Cerakote Carbon Gray finish is applied to the new action, bolt, and extended bolt handle for metal protection that exceeds that of traditional bluing.
