Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro Carbon Fiber Bolt Action Rifle

Since their debut, the Browning bolt-action line’s flagship rifles have been the X-Bolt Mountain Pro models, and as they make the switch to the cutting-edge new Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro Carbon Fiber platform, there’s no indication that they’ll be slowing down. As a confident big game hunter, the Mountain Pro doesn’t take any chances. This well-equipped rifle is lightweight, laser-accurate, and resistant to environmental impacts thanks to its exceptional utilization of a variety of technology.

The focus is on a second-generation carbon fiber stock. The one-piece design is lightweight, sturdy, and packed with foam to reduce noise. Additionally, when attempting offhand shots, it is extremely rigid to resist flex. Compressed carbon fiber is used to create even the precision bedding block, which increases stability. The use of two-tone gray graphics helps conceal you from your target by breaking up the outline. Our tried-and-true Inflex recoil pad is located at the butt end.

The stock is not the only application for carbon fiber. Preferred Barrels’ wrapped carbon fiber barrel is featured on this gun. Preferred Barrels products have undergone extensive testing and research to guarantee their accuracy and quality levels. Before being stress relieved, each barrel is first a blank that has been button rifled and precisely bored. Instead of using simple carbon fiber sleeve or tube construction, which are less expensive designs that give the appearance of carbon fiber without the practical advantages of the wrapping process, the barrels use a stronger, stiffer carbon fiber wrapping technology. The normal lengths of barrels vary depending on the caliber. The muzzle is prepared for use with an optional suppressor and has a 5/8″-24 thread. Included are a thread protector cover and a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
